We run buses tailored to the needs of Bournemouth University and Arts University Bournemouth students and staff making it easy to get to and from lectures. UNIBUS buses are also available for everyone else to use too. We are in partnership with more bus so all of their customer period passes and tickets are valid as well as concession passes being valid.
Any students and university staff can use all of more bus zone A with their Unibus key card (except night buses) or if you need to travel further afield you can travel for child fares by paying cash to the driver if you show your uni I.D.
We pride ourselves on our customer service, punctuality and ease of use. It's not just our buses that are easy to use and accessible for all, our website is too as it features Speak me technology which helps the visually impaired. The software can also translate into many different languages.
All buses are low floor and easy access - and we have spaces available for wheelchair users. Our friendly drivers are always happy to assist. In the absence of national guidance, we can only carry mobility scooters below a certain size on our easy-access buses.
We also provide Helping Hand + cards to those with hidden disabilities to discretely tell the driver that they may need a bit of assistance on-board.
Our drivers are always friendly and there to help especially when you need extra guidance on your journey. You can visit us at the more travel shop in Poole for detailed information on fares and bus routes, or to pick up a timetable. Follow us on twitter @myunibuses for travel and diversion updates too.
UNIBUS, run by morebus, is part of Go South Coast whose mean gender pay gap for 2017 is 0.6% (or 7p) which is substantially lower than the 17.4% national average. Read the entire report on the Go-Ahead Group website below:
